The youth consensus for peace and security meets Sultan Al-Sami, a member of the Supreme Political Council in Sana'a

 

A number of members of the Youth Accord for Peace and Security met, on Saturday in Sana'a, Sheikh Sultan Al-Sami'i, a member of the Supreme Political Council of the Sana'a government.

 

This meeting comes within the activities of youth consensus in Sana'a and other regions along the Yemeni geography to introduce consensus and brief all visions of negotiations and peace for all parties.

Member of the Political Council, Sultan Al-Sami'i, welcomed the members of the Tawafuq and expressed the Council's support for peace and all voices and initiatives calling for peace, including the youth consensus.

The meeting touched on the vision of the Political Council for Peace, where Al-Samei stressed that "the Council had presented a comprehensive vision for peace, and it is possible to refer to it for those who want to know what this vision includes."

 

On the role of youth in the peace process and negotiations, Al-Samei welcomed the formation of a youth consensus that represents the youth of Yemen, on whom much depends on understanding the future, and it is necessary to involve them in peace processes within a youth vision from the various political components and geographical regions in Yemen.

Noting that the Sana'a government believes in youth and is interested in involving youth and women in all its activities and government positions, welcoming any role for youth in the upcoming peace negotiations.

 

In the meeting, the consensus members talked about the recent negotiations in Muscat, as well as the negotiating team's visit to Sana'a and the reasons for its failure.

Al-Samei concluded the meeting by talking about seeking to provide the necessary facilities for youth consensus and any peace-related components, and reviewing that with the competent authorities in Sana'a.
